In order to have your website appear on the internet you need to purchase webspace - this is called 'hosting'.
Piccante Web Design is able to provide its customers a great value and ultra-reliable web-hosting service. This means that you don't have to scour the net looking for web-hosting as well as a web designer - we can arrange to have your web-hosting added to the same bill as your web design making it a truly stress-free and seamless experience for you.
You can choose which hosting plan is right for you from the options below. Most small businesses will find that Plan 1 suits their needs perfectly - larger organisations utilising complex Content Managament Systems with more than one database or a need for large online email storage might find they will need Plan 2 or even Plan 3.

All hosting hardware is premier based on Dual Opterons all in RAID 10 Array with more then enough resources. By default, all servers have a Virtuozzo (Virtual Private Server or VPS) layer allowing maximum efficiency. Your website's perfomance should never suffer as a result of poor server quality or a lack of resources made available.
All servers are located in the Colo4Dallas facility in Texas or Market Post Tower facility in San Jose, California, our server supplier promises a 99.9% network uptime guarantee.

Security of your digital data
If your website has been designed by Piccante Web Design, we also store the content, images and data of your site independently as an extra safety measure. This data is securely archived remotely from the server.
Hosting costs
If you want your website to be hosted through Piccante we require each year's hosting to be paid in advance with your first invoice. If you wish to suspend hosting services this is refundable in accordance with our Terms and Conditions
Changing your hosting plan
Web hosting plans may be upgraded free of charge if you find that you are reaching your webspace limit, require more databases or access to AW webstats for analysis of your site traffic. The difference in cost is charged on a pro-rata basis for the remainder of the year. A downgrade to a plan beneath the existing plan may take effect immediately, however, no refund will be made for the cheaper plan until the end of the hosting year, at which point the reduced price will take effect.
Email accounts
The standard hosting account with Piccante Web Design includes unlimited email addresses. This allows multiple email addresses to be set up so that your customers can direct their inquiries to the correct person or department in your organisation. Your email can be accessed via your computer's software (such as Outlook Express, Mail, or Thunderbird) or using webmail. Webmail is spam protected with antivirus and can be auto-forwarded or auto-responded. Please be aware that email that has not been retrieved (or deleted) from the web server will count towards your disk space allocation.
